The Minister, Dimitri Shashkini, visited Brittany Tolar - a volunteer teacher and congratulated her on the New Year.

Brittany Tolar has earned MA in education administration, she also has an extensive teaching experience; the volunteer teacher came to Georgia last year as a part of the educational program “Teach and Learn with Georgia” and was placed in the public school of the village of Giorgitsminda, Sagarejo municipality to teach the English language together with the local teachers.

Brittany Tolar uses interactive lesson plans and teaching methods during the classes; besides teaching she is actively involved in extra curriculum activities and provides assistance to the interested local people in learning of the English language.

The “Teach and Learn with Georgia" program was initiated in 2010 as a part of the educational reforms. The project aims to promote English language education all across Georgia and provides an opportunity to Georgian communities to share their values and exchange cultures with people from various countries.
